Care Kitchen:

This is a feeding ministry for the less fortunate of our community; faithfully serving a hot, hearty breakfast the 3rd Saturday of each month in the Earle Weech Auditorium. There is also social interaction between those who are having breakfast and the helpers who serve them, giving our guests a sense of belonging with a family atmosphere. Christian Ed:

To glorify God through the effective, clear communication of His Word, resulting in a Biblically literate people.

Meeting the needs of the congregation and assisting the church in fulfilling its purpose and mission by administering the spiritual educational programs of the church. Sunday School classes are provided in every age group. Contact: Randy Pearce       

 

Communion Prep:

To facilitate observance of the Lord’s Table by preparing the communion elements on scheduled days. Contact: Elizabeth Lim

 

CrossTrainers:                

CrossTrainers is a youth/children’s ministry geared toward 5-18 year olds each Tuesday evening, presenting the gospel of Christ and discipling young believers in the Word of God. The evening consists of: Games – Scripture memory – Bible messages. Contact: Pastor Nicholas & Tamsin Rogers

 

Drama Ministry:

The primary principle of drama is to teach. Our talented Drama team uses this art as an exciting way to teach biblical truth in various areas of ministry. Contact: Wilfred & Vanria Jack

 

Friends Through Love:

This group of ladies (or men) prepares a meal for our bereaved families on the day of a loved one’s funeral. This gives the grieving family a little relief, not having to be concerned about finding a meal that day. It is also an expression of our love and concern for the family as they go through this difficult time. Contact: Nancy Wells          

 

Jr. Church:

Our kids ages 3-11 are cared for in a safe, loving environment during our 11:00am worship service. There they have their own worship experience appropriate for their age group, allowing parents the opportunity to relax & focus on worshipping in the main sanctuary. Media Ministry:

This ministry exists to glorify the Triune God through the combined use of spiritual gifts and technological skills.

With a mission to involve every participant in all aspects of our worship services, CBC’s Media Ministry serves our diverse congregation by bringing them seamlessly into the worship experience. Professional audio enhancement, video and graphic design, and controllable lighting help to bring worship off the platform and into every seat in the sanctuary. Men’s Ministry:

The Men’s Fellowship exists to promote and encourage a personal commitment to Jesus Christ, through worship, prayer, Bible study and obedience to His Word as well as organize a time of social interaction. An additional focus of the Men’s Fellowship is to render service to individuals of our church family who are in need of assistance. Contact: Erold Farquharson

 

Mini Church:

A small group of people under the guidance of a spiritually qualified leader meet together twice a month for mutual edification in the context of a loving and caring relationship with one another as they study the Word of God together. Contact: Pastor Rob Elliott & Erold Farquharson

 

Music & Worship Minsitry:

The Music & Worship Ministry of Calvary Bible Church exists to exalt the triune God through authentic worship; edify believers with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs; and evangelize lost souls with the gospel of Jesus Christ.  A “Prepared people who passionately serve with excellence.” There is opportunity to serve through involvement in the choir, special selections & musical instruments. Nursery:

Children from infancy to 2 years old are cared for in a nurturing, loving environment while parents are able to enjoy the worship service knowing their babies are well cared for.                

 

Operation InAsMuch:                                                                           

This is an outreach to our community each Wednesday from 9:00 to 11:30am providing non-perishable grocery items and clothing to the less fortunate. Contact: Dave Hamilton & Clifton Wells

 

Sunday AM Breaktime:

Time for a pick-me-up between Sunday School and 11:00am worship service. Light refreshments (drinks & cookies) are prepared and served by our dedicated kitchen workers. A brief opportunity to fellowship with one another. Contact: Jan Bridgewater    

 

Visitation:

Visits to homes & hospitals provide a sense of belonging, appreciation, concern and love for and by our church family and others. Contact: Church office, Pastors Tommy Albury & Roland Bryan

 

Student Ministries:

“Ignition” is our Friday night ministry for teens. This is where teens in grades 7-12 can come to feel accepted regardless of race, class, and school they may attend. This is a time of fellowship around God’s Word, food, games, and small groups.  Our goal is to build a community of young believers that will win The Bahamas for Christ.

Lifeway Bible Studies for Life: Students help to connect the unconnected students in your ministry. It will develop students based on a discipleship framework that helps them know Christ, become contributing servants in the community of faith, and engage their culture. This study will also help you strengthen families in your church by equipping parents to have spiritual conversations with their students. (The Sunday School hour) Contact: Pastor Nicholas Rogers

 

Ushers/Welcome Committee:

This special group is there to make members and visitors of Calvary Bible Church feel welcome! Have any smiles to give away? Here is the place to do it! Make a difference in someone’s day! Willing Hearts & Hands:

This group is responsible for planning & implementing church socials/luncheons. Serving the Lord’s people by creating an environment that facilitates sweet fellowship amongst the members of CBC while enjoying delectable food, presented in excellence and served with love. Women’s Ministry:

Endeavoring to meet the needs of our women on a spiritual, emotional and practical level, reaching out to each other to strengthen the bond of love in our church family, and serve the community as we grow and respond in obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ.
