Recently I was talking with other pastors about money given to a ministry which was sourced from an enterprise which the church cannot not endorse. Legalized gambling was the case in point.
My friend, Pastor Roland Bryan, remembered that D.L. Moody faced a similar situation. One of his ushers came to him asking if a man could give money to the the ministry which the man admitted that he had gained by an unrighteousness means. Mr. Moody replied: “Yes, we’ll accept the offering. The devil’s had the money long enough. It’s time the Lord had it.”

Still loving each other & serving Jesus.
Where would I be without their love & prayers?
Lord, please bless my parents in every way. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Do you have godly parents who are still on earth?
Regularly bless them with gratitude today!
(1 Thessalonians 2:7-12)

I love Baseball! I love this time of the year! Opening day excitement & hope for the fans of every team.
The green grass of ballparks boding well for home owners’ lawns to change from snow-ice white blankets to green carpets.
I also love baseball because it expects human failure.
You can go to the Baseball Hall of Fame for batting .333. This means that you can fail to get a hit 2 out of 3 times but still be admired.

What if you are the only born-again Christian that 20 people lost people will interact with tomorrow? It’s quite possible; and because it is we should approach each day as being “Game On!”
Every day we need to walk the walk.
Every day’s a good day to speak up for the Saviour.
After all, stars don’t take nights off from twinkling!
“Do all things without grumbling or disputing; that you may prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life …”. (Philippians 2:14-16A)

oday, somewhere in the world, persecuted Christians are meeting in hiding. In some cases they have one Bible to share between them. They will respectfully remove pages out of that Bible so that each of them can take a precious Scripture portion home to read & to love that particular week: Sort of like a Bible passage loaning library.

The bodily resurrection of our Saviour is one of the banner distinctives of biblical Christianity.
No other world religion claims that its founder is alive again after physical death.

We are happy learners being new to the Bahamas! Every day we see both things which are the same & things which are brand-new with respect to our previous time spent in Canada & America.
This beautiful fresco from one of Nassau’s McDonalds restaurants is a good example. Wherever we have been, McDonalds restaurants have had attractive art up on their restaurant walls. Read more…

Recently my family (including our dog!), moved to Nassau to begin a new life and ministry. We are both excited and blessed.
Something which has really touched me is a repeated phrase which several Bahamians have said with large smiles as they have understood our relocation: “welcome home”.
