SHAKY SAFETY

Would you sleep overnight HERE? I wouldn’t! No possible way!
Steel Pegs & Ropes & Knots CAN & sometimes DO fail!
In this “camp site”, one fail means Funeral Home!

Back in the times of the Bible, some persons trusted in things, which compared with God, were shaky: “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.”  (Psalm 20:7 ESV)

Are you trusting in anything shaky, more than in your God? Perhaps a job or an investment or a government or a person?
Best to move your trust from a shaky campsite to a sure Creator/Saviour!
You’ll sleep a whole lot better!

ALL’S WELL THAT ENDS WELL

One of the most comforting truths about our amazing God is that He is in full control and He specializes in surprisingly good endings in His redeemed children’s lives!

Today, if you only see the burned out lights in your circumstances, don’t miss the encouraging fact that your Lord is fashioning something good with the lights which He has kept on!

Take Romans 8:28 to the bank:
“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”

YOU’VE GOT TO FACE THE RIGHT DIRECTION!

I think that it was Max Lucado who observed: In order to make music, a conductor has to turn his back to the crowd.
Galatians 1:10: “For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am striving to please men? If I were still striving to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.”
Which direction are you facing?

I THINK THAT IT’S TIME TO UPDATE!

One of the basic indicators of life is growth. Living things grow; dead things don’t!
Psalm 1:3 compares a believer to a healthy & growing tree:
” … and he (the blessed believer) will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season, and it’s leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers.”

Pray for Your Pastors

This is the picture of 3000 pastors. They are attending Pastor John MacArthur’s “Shepherd’s Conference” in Los Angeles.

It is far from easy being a pastor. 50% of the pastors starting out will not last 5 years. And over 1700 American pastors left the ministry every month last year!

With the Apostle Paul, when he closed his first letter to the church at Thessalonica, we Pastors beg you: “Brethren, pray for us”. (1 Thessalonians 5:25)
