QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be a born-again, fully committed, follower of Jesus Christ.
• Must agree to CBC’s doctrinal statement of faith, and philosophy of ministry.
• Must be in total agreement with and have a commitment to facilitate all of CBC’s Simple Church model (including support of age-appropriate ministries).
• Must satisfy, subscribe to, and be mandated by 1Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-10 where applicable.
• Must give evidence of good moral character and sound judgment in his personal, family, and spiritual life.
• Must exhibit passion, humility, and a deep pastoral sensitivity to motivate, develop, encourage, grow, and disciple persons in their faith in Jesus Christ.
• Must express a burden for those who do not know Jesus Christ.
• Must agree to abide by all staff policies and procedures at CBC.
• Must be knowledgeable and proficient in the Scriptures; a student of God’s Word;
possessing sound biblical character expressed through a vivacious faith.
• Must exhibit strong and excellent organizational, administrative and leadership skills.
• Must demonstrate a loving and approachable way of doing ministry.
• Must exhibit excellence in developing people-skills, especially gifted at encouraging and resolving conflicts.
• Must be a team player – working well with the Senior Pastor-Teacher, the other pastors, deacons, and the ministry leaders.
 
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• A full-time position – At least 40 hours per week (Some Saturday work).

• A functioning Elder, fulfilling all responsibilities required.

• Oversee and facilitate CBC’s Simple Church philosophy’s progress and objective.

• Oversee all aspects of small group development, growth, and maintenance.

• Implement and confirm adherence to the Elders’ approved small group curricula.

• Ensure continuous quality control evaluation (3 months/6 months/12 months) of all ministry leaders and volunteer workers.

• Ensure that Church Community Builder (CCB) online platform is fully utilized in the Simple Church process.

• Report on numeric horizontal movement across the Simple Church Process (utilizing the CCB online platform to track the number of persons participating in worship services; small groups; evangelism).

• Encouraging the ministry leaders and their volunteer workers.

• Oversee the budget and planning for all activities within the Simple Church process (Small Groups/Sunday School/Evangelism etc).

• Coordinate evangelistic outreach efforts for small groups in conjunction with the Elders and Deacons.

• Pursue personal growth in area of responsibility and practice spiritual discipline.

• Teach / Preach occasionally.

• Recruit and provide training and motivation for small group leaders.

 

ACCOUNTABILITY
• Under the administrative direction of and evaluation of the Pastoral Board and where applicable, the Deacons’ Board (as per existing full-time staff).
