That He Might Humble You
This morning, one of our deacons, Terence Pinder will be sharing his testimony from Deuteronomy 8. He will trace God’s faithfulness through his life and how even now, God is still humbling him to test and to teach.
11:00am Worship Service
Trusting God in Difficult Times
We live in difficult times of social, political and commercial distress and misery which impacts those who can least bear it. What does our faith say to us under such circumstances? Today Pastor Randy Pearce will focus on the advice of David in his 37th Psalm.  
Ministry Matters
Combined Services
October 20th will be a Youth Service and October 27th a CCC Recognition Service. These services will begin at 10:30am. On those dates Sunday School will begin at 9:30 and end at 10:15am.
Attendance Pew Pads
• For visitors please completely fill out the Visitors pad. If you have been a regular visitor you only have to fill in your name unless there is further info you need/want to provide.
• For members/regular attenders please use the Members pads. You only need to write your name in the lower section. If you need/want to provide additional info then use the upper section.
Monday Night Prayer
There is no prayer meeting tomorrow due to the holiday. It will resume on Mon., Oct.  21st.
Hurricane Relief
Your donations to the relief effort can be dropped off at CBC weekdays between 9:00am & 4:30pm. Come to the main office entrance and one of our staff will assist with securing your donations in the designated room. If you brought donations today please check with one of our leaders for directions.
Precept Study Group 
The next study will be this Wednesday, October 16th at 6:30pm. Precept classes are held every 1st & 3rd Wednesday and are led by Pastor Randy Pearce. Call the church office if you would like to participate in this study.     
CrossTrainers Notes
• CrossTrainers is “back with a bang” after a long summer break. We would love      
to have your 5-18 year olds with us each Tuesday from 6:00-8:00pm! 
• For those who have signed up to provide sandwiches, please deliver them to the kitchen by 5:50pm each Tuesday night because the fun begins at 6:00pm.
• If you are looking for a place to serve in ministry, why not come and observe our CrossTrainers program. We need leaders!

Believer’s Baptism
We are accepting candidates for the upcoming baptism service at Montagu Beach on Nov. 24th at 3:00pm. If you have not yet been baptised, and would like to be, please contact the church office to note your desire to be a part of this special event.
Men’s Fraternity
The 2nd book in the series “Winning at Work & Home” is now available for purchase from the church office for $10. A start date will be announced soon!
Young Adults
This Saturday, October 19th at 6:30pm, there will be a game night at Pastor Nicholas’ and Tamsin’s house.  Please let them know if you will be able to attend by Wednesday of this week.
LIFE Exercise Group
CBC offers a LIFE Exercise Group for Senior Women! L is for LADIES. I is for INSPIRED. F is for FUN-FILLED. E is for EXERCISE. The exercises are designed to engage the whole person: MIND, BODY & SOUL.
The group meets every Thursday, 9:30-11:30am in the Earle Weech Auditorium. There is a place for YOU in this group!
Operation InAsMuch
The 51 bags given over the past week brings the total to 90,357. We are continually grateful to everyone for your support.
