CHILDREN ARE ARROWS

ShoelacesHow did this young gentleman come to do this kind gesture?
The thought was parent-installed; most likely daddy-installed.
Psalm 127 calls children “a gift”, “the fruit of the womb” & “arrows”.
Why are children like arrows?
They can be shot to go beyond their parents (the archers).
They can be aimed at the target of their parents values, priorities, worldview & faith.
Aim your arrows well.

BE WEARING THE SHOES YOU WANT YOUR KIDS TO FILL!

Little girlsMore is caught by children than is taught to children. These precious little girls enter deeply into worship of Jesus because they want to … and they want to because their parents wanted to first.

This is not parental lip service; this is parental lifestyle. What have your kids concluded about you & your Jesus? The chances are that they will come to their own conclusions largely based on yours!

“Now, therefore, fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and truth; and put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. And if it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites  in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:14-15)

My Wonderful Dad & Mom!

Mom & Dad
Still loving each other & serving Jesus.
Where would I be without their love & prayers?
Lord, please bless my parents in every way. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Do you have godly parents who are still on earth?
Regularly bless them with gratitude today!
(1 Thessalonians 2:7-12)
